I'm pretty sure the donkey mailbox is photoshopped. I just checked the pic and noticed some telltale white areas at the right side of the mouth and around the mane. Thanks for calling it to my attention.
I never noticed it before and I think I'll replace the pic with another donkey box which IS legit. Here's a link to some others:
